I began Action Flash Photography because I was tired of standard posed photos of kids in activities. I am striving to create a new look to team and individual pictures. I enjoy the challenge of capturing the true essence of sports and activities and the personalities of the kids (and adults) who play. I am a self-taught photographer, which means I do not rely on standard poses to make great pictures.

I enjoy all of the unique aspects of various sports and activities. I have played soccer at the collegiate level at Washington University. I have also enjoyed coaching the varsity girl’s soccer teams at St. Dominic High School and youth soccer at Sacred Heart in Troy. My most recent coaching endeavor has been with the St. Louis Lions of the Premier Development League of the United Soccer Leagues.

I shoot all digital photos and prefer live action shots to posed photography, but if a pose is what you desire, I can accommodate it. The Action Flash Photography motto is:
“Why pose for the flash when the flash can catch you in action!”
I will come out to games or events to shoot photos and let you view those photos prior to your selection. I also will include you in the creative process if that is what you desire.
